This usually means that your placement has not been assigned by the university. Please contact the university as they have master access to ePAD

This may mean that the initial interview student documents have not been completed or saved correctly, and therefore the button to send to the PA for approval is not available.

Please ensure that you are using a laptop or PC, not a mobile device. Refer to your ePAD manual for instructions on how to save your input correctly so that the “Save” button appears, enabling you to send the document to your PA.

You will need to contact your previous Practice Assessor to ask them to sign this off. If you are unsuccessful in making contact, you will need to return to the university for further support, as Health Academy will not be able to assist with this matter.

In the first instance, email the Practice Assessor asking for this to be signed off, if no response, email the supervision email to request further advice

The name of your Practice Assessor can be found on the portal. The Practice Assessor allocated to each colour group is located in the document viewable on the portal

This information is also found in the Proficiencies and ePAD section of the portal

Go to the Health academy placement on your epad – and then select the start menu, on this section there will be the option to add your PA and PS – to add simply click Complete new.

 Q&A sessions are scheduled to provide an opportunity for students to ask questions, review the day/week’s tasks, and receive additional support. Attendance at these sessions is the student’s responsibility to ensure they fully understand the requirements and expectations.

All information regarding daily tasks and activities is available in the student portal. Students are expected to review this information thoroughly and raise any questions during the Q&A sessions

You will need to allocate your Assessor and then submit to Practice Assessor who conducted initial interview as they went through the objectives

If you attended the orientation, submit this to your Practice Assessor for approval

If not attended orientation, submit this to your Practice Assessor for discussion when meeting for the initial interview

Ensure correct spelling of the Practice Assessor . If the Practice Assessor’s name is correct but not available on the ePAD drop down menu, or is not submitting using manual input of email address, contact our supervision email.

To see if the OARs are part of the placement proficiencies please review the portal proficiencies section – here there will be a document – If the OARs are in green and have not been signed please contact the supervision inbox.

Please contact your assessor via the email on the portal for them – if they havent replied then please contact the supervisors on the supervision email and we will assist with this. 

 The reflective hours are added by the University – please contact your Academic assessor or your personal tutor for this.

Your objectives are written on your initial interview – for inspiration of what to write – think about the placement and the content of what is being delivered and the subject area of the self directed study – where can you improve as a practitioner ready for qualifying? What are typical skills of the area of your study you maybe need to develop? A good example would be clinical documentation as this can always be improved and is a key element of working in practice

Your proficiencies are completed by a combination of work uploaded to your portfolio – placement attendance and comments left on your student record card by your facilitators from workshop – this is used as evidence to support the sign off of all your proficiencies – a list of these can be found on the portal on the proficiencies page.
